Walk amongst ancient trees, hear the sounds of the forest as the eclipse takes place, experience this once in a lifetime event in the wilds of Congaree National Park! Special exhibits and numerous programs will showcase the stories of the park and the science that takes place to unlock its mysteries. Ranger led hikes will allow visitors to experience the beauty and solitude of the old growth forests. Astonishing biodiversity exists in Congaree National Park, the largest intact expanse of old growth bottomland hardwood forest remaining in the southeastern United States. Prime viewing locations will provide a unique opportunity to experience the eclipse – a once in a lifetime event.
