Looking for the perfect place to view the eclipse on the south east side of the city? Visit Southeast Park to find an open spot between the beautiful Live Oaks and Hickories that cover this 64 acre park. Bring along some discs, as this park has an award winning disc golf course. Or pack a fishing rod, as our six acre pond is a great spot to wet a line.
Pack a picnic, bring a blanket and lawn chairs along with sunscreen and lots of drinking water. Dogs are welcome, but must remain on leash. Alcohol is not permitted.
This event will be handing out free eclipse glasses to guests courtesy of the City of Columbia, S.C.! Glasses will be handed to guests starting at 10am. Guests can come claim their spots as early as 7am. Rangers will be on site to set up amenities at 9am. Guests are encouraged to bring their picnics, plenty of hydrating beverages, sun shades and patience!
