2017 is the “Season of the Total Eclipse” with the Lexington County Blowfish Baseball Club. In recognition of the fact the closest spot to the “Centerline” of the Total Eclipse shoots through the heart of Lexington County, SC
the Blowfish Baseball Club are wearing one of a kind themed Total Eclipse/Centerline jerseys during the 2017 season.
These jerseys will be auctioned off Saturday August 5th at the Blowfish vs Asheboro Copperheads game at Lexington County Baseball Stadium. Fans will have an opportunity to bid on the jerseys throughout the game.
Bidding will end in the sixth inning and Winners will be announced at the end of the game and invited down on to the field to receive their Total Eclipse/Centerline player jerseys.
Proceeds of the Total Eclipse/Centerline Blowfish jerseys will be donated for science programs in the Lexington County Elementary Schools.
On August 21st, the Blowfish and Lexington County Recreation & Aging Commission will open the stadium for a free viewing of the first transcontinental Total Eclipse in 99 years and be as close to the “Centerline” as possible! EXPERIENCE THE TOTAL ECLIPSE ON THE FIELD FREE
This event will be handing out free eclipse glasses to guests courtesy of the City of Columbia, S.C.! Available on event date and time only.
